The Veda Society was set up with the aim of contributing to the dissemination of the "Spirit of the Veda" by promoting the Vedanta "the path that leads to the culmination of knowledge". Our initiative has been inspired by the works of Swami Vivekananda, whose knowledge, wisdom and experience of the world's major religions and philosophies and his approach of integrating these ones to be part to the "Vedanta path", has contributed to peace amongst the followers of different religions and philosophies. Due to his extensive travel and study of different mystical traditions and Western science, he mastered both "Eastern mystical & complex thinking" and "Western analytical & linear thinking"; his ability to integrate both "streams of thinking" turns each of his books into a real masterpiece.
With this project we want to make the essence of the "science of Yoga", as Vivikananda termed it, available for everyone; we especially want to enthuse people on following the "path of the culmination of knowledge". Hence on this webpage we shortly outlined how you can easily integrate the Vedanta and its practical tools and methods in your everyday life to experience fulfilment, health and enlightenment in your life.
Our trust also promotes the Ayurvedic traditional ways of healing, as well as the ancient art of Spiritual Healing. You will find more on our initiatives and on our mission by clicking on the following links:
